I’m kicking off a series of posts about detoxification for two reasons:
- Our world is more toxic than it has ever been. (I’m referring to physical toxins, although I could surely argue that there are a lot of mental and emotional toxins floating around as well. I mean, have you seen what’s going on with politics in the U.S.?!)
- Because of #1, we need to learn how to amplify our natural detox capabilities so that we don’t become burdened by toxic overload.
You see, our bodies are designed to detox in an incredibly effective way. However, the more toxins that we put into our bodies (purposefully or otherwise), the less efficient those detox pathways become and the more likely we are to end up with a build up of toxins in our bodies.
The good news is that there are steps we can take to both reduce the amount of toxic substances that get into our bodies and better enable our bodies to handle those toxins outside of our control, as well as the ones that we choose to consume or use. Check out the links above for more details!
